Blogging in Bullets..... ListMania

For long, I have been suspicious of the success of blogs. I finally made my peace with it, by understanding that it is the simple need of people to be heard, manifested over the information highway.

People writing blogs have a context and something to say. They have a purpose - to look good, share their thoughts, feel important - I don't know. I have a lot to say sometimes, but it is in reference to a context. Being without a context to me is a stateless being, and I appreciate it "sometimes".

Mostly, when I am getting ready to focus on something stateful. In short, I don't like to shout out to the world, I don't like being stateless unless meditating at the Sikh Temple or during Kung Fu.

I communicate with smaller worlds over email, where I know what to speak and it is (perhaps) valued. However, I have finally found a limited use of this space, to maintain a list of books I have read.

I read totally different topics every "season", and would like someday to be able to look back at all the books I have read in  one place.

So there you go, I have a custom list, in the List section for my books.

I would like to call out special thanks to the KCLS, Borders at the Redmond Town Center and MS Library - my sources for most books. During the MSFT Give campaign, some of you will get my money :).

I really think that the schema (design) of the lists is sub optimal, and should be somewhat configurable. -Meanwhile I might start an activity list or something :) soon.
